Machame route is the best climbing route as it creates a full day of acclimatization. The route exposes climbers to higher elevations for proper body adaptation of the higher attitudes. DAY 1: ARUSHA – MACHAME CAMP.

Breakfast at your Arusha hotel then before 0800am meet our driver, guides, porters, and chef for a transfer to Machame gate via Machame village. Registration and immediately we commence the Mount Kilimanjaro Machame route walking through the dense forest of fig and rubber trees, and other tropical vegetation. The more we ascend the vegetation will keep changing, walk on the ridge and the Samira stream on the left and to the right weru weru.

This initial stage of Machame route climb is tranquil and relatively easy to cover and there is little to cover. The mountain crew will recommend a slow ascent for gradual acclimatization. The porters and chef may hurry to Machame camp 10,000 fts for preparation of dinner, so never keep up with their face, enjoy the beauty of the rain forest.

DAY 2: MACHAME CAMP – SHIRA CAMP.

Breakfast will be ready by 0600 am and the chef will greet you with a cup of tea and coffee. On a clear morning enjoy a fabulous view of Uhuru Peak. The day climb takes you up a steep track through the savannah of tall grasses, volcanic rocks, and bearded heather. You will come across giant groundsels as you climb through a ghostly landscape of volcanic lava, caves, and foamy streams.

The guide will recommend walking slowly and taking some rest, enjoying your lunch and views of the Shira plateau. We arrive at Shira camp at 12,500 fts in the early evening to relax, have dinner, and overnight.

DAY 3:SHIRA CAMP TO BARRANCO CAMP.

We wake up at 0600 am for breakfast and views of the entire Shira plateau sweeping vistas across to Meru and the Shira needles. Today’s climb takes us up to a higher altitude Lava Tower at 15,000 fts and descent down to Barranco camp crossing the Bastains stream. The descent takes us along an immense canyon called Grand Barranco.

We will also find numerous waterfalls which are fed by streams coming from the mountain and converging to form the sources of the Umbwe River. We spend the night at Barranco camp which has the same attitude as Shira Camp.

DAY 4: BARRANCO CAMP – KARANGA CAMP.

After breakfast we spend the day acclimatizing as we conquer the great Barranco wall which may look intimidating at first glance, climbers state that this class 2 hike is usually easier than they anticipate. While at the top of the wall, you will have a view of Heim Glacier and will be above the clouds. The trail then winds up and down the Karanga valley making it an ideal climbing day. We spend the night at Karanga Valley 13,100 fts from 13,000 fts of Barranco Camp.

DAY 5: KARANGA CAMP – BARAFU HUT.

After well served breakfast we leave Karanga Camp 3959m and follow the trail that intersects with the Mweka Route used to descend on the final two days. We make a stopover at Barafu hut which is the last water stop for porters as there is no accessible water at Barafu camp 4550m. Barafu Camp {Swahile word translated as Ice) is located on a rocky, exposed ridge. Our tents will be exposed to wind and rocks so we need to familiarize ourselves with the campsite before darkness.

We will also enjoy an early dinner to enable us to relax and rest before attempting the summit as the final part ascent. Briefing from the guide then enjoy your short sleep at Barafu Hut 4600m.

DAY 6: BARAFU CAMP 15,300 fts – SUMMIT 5885M – MWEKA HUTS 10,000 fts.

By midnight enjoy breakfast and start the final part of the Machame route climbing to attempt the summit before sunrise. We follow the route northwest where we ascend over stone shree, this is the most physically and mentally challenging part of the climb. We arrive at Stella Point with an elevation of 5685M located on the crater rim to enjoy a magnificent sunrise.

We continue ascending on a snow-covered trail to Uhuru Peak which is the highest peak in Africa region, achieve a lifetime accomplishment enjoy the views from all directions, take pictures, and enjoy tea. After you are satisfied we descend to Mweka huts which will take at least 3 to 4 Hours.

DAY 7: MWEKA HUTS – MWEKA GATE – ARUSHA.

Breakfast and celebration for a successful Machame route climbing adventure, appreciate the guides, Porters, and cook by presenting them with tips. Descend for at least three hours to Mweka Gate to receive your certificates of achievement as per the point each reached. We trek further down the Mweka Village to the point of Hot Lunch. Meet our Driver for the final transfer to Arusha for the long overdue shower, celebration, and other plans to other safari destinations or back home.

DAY 3: LAKE NATRON – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Depart Lake Natron after breakfast and drive to Serengeti National Park which means the “endless plains” via the Kleins camp gate. Serengeti National Park is really rich in wildlife species therefore offering a great game viewing. Break for the picnic lunches in the wilderness and continue building the private Tanzania safari memories till late evening, we arrive at central Serengeti campsite for dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast the private Tanzania safari is scheduled for a full day of game viewing in Serengeti endless plains. DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER – LAKE EYASI

Depart the campsite immediately after breakfast thought the Ngorongoro conservancy area to arrive at the main gate for registration. We descend down the crater with awesome game viewing and breathtaking landscapes of the Ngorongoro Crater; arrive at the Crater Rim for more game drive on a grassland crater floor. Here more than 25,000 wild animal species, have being recorded including the big mammals, the big cats and the Big Five.

We scan for the few remaining black rhinos, elephants, hippopotamus at the hippo pools, elands, giraffes, buffalos, wildebeest, zebras, hyenas, among others. DAY 4: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK
Serengeti National Park is wide and the best Tanzania safari will be focused on the direction of the annual migration. Depart the accommodation property equipped with picnic lunches to enable us to have a great thrilling safari experience on the endless plains of Serengeti. Depending on the direction of the migration we cross the park characterized by great stopovers and up-close encounters with wild animals. Visit the hippo pools, the famous Grumeti River for crocodiles and visit several Serengeti kopjes in search of the prides of lions. In the late evening enjoy the game drive en route to central Serengeti to arrive at the accommodation property in time for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: SERENGETI – NGORONGORO CRATER
Breakfast then check out and enjoy the final game drive in Serengeti National Park from Morning to noon. Explore the central Serengeti in search of more wild animals, the Mawe area, and other places en route to the main gate. Exit Serengeti and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservancy area with an optional stopover at the Olduvai Gorge Museum. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Conservancy area, you will decide if to relax or visit the local Ngorongoro people. Late evening enjoy dinner at your accommodation property followed by dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA
Ngorongoro Crater is a place you must visit to see and believe, and enjoy the breathtaking landscape as you track the big five and other large numbers of wildlife species. The best Tanzania safari is scheduled for a maximum of 6 hours from the main gate down to the crater rim and then back to the main gate.

DAY 1: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Our short Tanzania safari starts with a scheduled pick and then departs Arusha with packed picnic lunches. Tarangire National Park is home to the largest herds of elephants. The park also experiences the migration of wildebeest and zebras between June and October. The park is dotted with thousands of Baobab trees and common animals like lions, cheetahs, leopards, cape buffalos, antelopes, gazelle, hyenas, and even the black rhinos can also be spotted here… We will enjoy a game driving along the Tarangire River which attracts a great number of wildlife in search of drinking water. Late evening we will exit and drive to our accommodation property for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

The short Tanzania safari is scheduled for wildlife adventure and bird watching experience in Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is unique due to its tree-climbing lions which are rare to find in Africa. The Lake also has no inlet or outlet and is believed to have its sources of water from springs. It’s a soda ash Lake in The Great Rift Valley and a suitable breeding area for the pink flamingos. We depart the lodge or camp after breakfast for the sightseeing of elephants, Hippos, giraffes, cape buffalos, antelopes, noisy monkeys, and flamingos among other wildlife and birds. DAY 3: NGORONGORO CRATER

Breakfast and Manyara area, check out and drive to Ngorongoro crater for the short Tanzania safari experience. DAY 1: SAFARI DESTINATION MASAI MARA

DAY 5: AMBOSELI SAFARI
Amboseli is the second most visited park after Masai Mara due to the large herds of elephants and immense views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Start the day with a short morning nature walk in search of Giraffes and the views of Mount Kilimanjaro which has the highest peak in Africa.
