CLIMBING GEARS:

– Waterproof boots mountain type that are not too heavy for you.
– Trekking pole to help with personal balancing while climbing.
– Head Torch with a strong beam and a spare battery.
– 4 season rated 0F(-15F) Sleeping bag. {Available for hire}
– Sleeping mat, we provide one but you can also bring yours.
– Sleeping bag liner for extra warmth.
– Waterproof compression sack for sleeping bag.
– Personal first aid kit.
– Toiletry items, snow goggles, and water purification tablets.

DAY 1: ARUSHA – MARANGU GATE – MANDARA HUTS.

Pick up from Arusha Hotel or Moshi Hotel and drive via Marangu village to Marangu gate for registration. Here you must have a senior and junior guide, 2-3 porters, and one chef who will accompany you up and down Marangu Route climbing. We cover a distance of 7 km from Marangu gate to Mandara huts. We cover the rain forest and see some of the animals like Columbus monkeys and birds. The elevation of 2740 metres above sea level. From Mandara Hut take a walk to Muindi Crater and enjoy the views of Nothern Tanzania and Kenya. Return to the huts for the first night in Mount Kilimanjaro, dinner, and overnight.

DAY 2: MANDARA HUTS – HOROMBO HUTS.

Our Marangu route climbing commences immediately after breakfast and is scheduled for 7 to 8 hours of climbing. We cover a distance of 11 kilometers from Mandara Huts to Horombo Huts. We cover the rainy forest and moorlands with the views of Horombo escarpments. We start experiencing the effects of the attitude as we will be at 3700 kilometers above sea level. We enjoy views of the Kibo Summit and Mawenzi small peak views.

DAY 3: HOROMBO HUTS.

Breakfast then spend the day acclimatizing with a circuit walk from Horombo Huts, Mawenzi, and Kibo peaks back to Horombo Huts. This helps us to prepare for a higher attitude and get used to the current attitude. Anyone experiencing difficulties may prepare to descend back and not attempt the summit. The guides will assist in making sure each is fit to continue with the Marangu route climbing to Kibo Huts.

DAY 4: HOROMBO HUTS – KIBO HUTS.

After sharing breakfast with guides, porters, and chef we commence the Marangu route climbing to cover 10 kilometres from Horombo to Kibo huts. The estimated climbing hours are 7 to 8 hours as we ascend and descend the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo summit. At Kibo Huts we will prepare to summit up to Uhuru Peak the following morning.

DAY 5: KIBO HUTS – UHURU PEAK – HOROMBO HUTS.

The chef will serve breakfast very early in the morning so that by 0200 am we start our climb for 4 Kilometers up to the summit point. Marangu route climbing is the easiest route and we will arrive at the peak of 5895mtres/19340 ft before sunrise. Enjoy thrilling views from all directions, celebrate, and take great pictures. Later we have to descend a total of 14 kilometres down to Horombo huts. You are a conqueror having reached the highest peak in Africa. We enjoy our Lunches at Kibo Huts, relax a bit, and continue to Horombo Huts for dinner and overnight.

DAY 6: HOROMBO HUTS – MARANGU GATE – ARUSHA.

Early breakfast then get ready for 18 kilometers as we descend the final part of Marangu route climbing. We walk through the moorlands and rainy forest. Arrive at Marangu gate to receive our certificates of our climbing achievement. Meet the car and driver then drive to Arusha or Moshi Hotel where you will say bye-bye to your Mount Kilimanjaro crews.

RATE INCLUDES:

– Transfer from and to Marangu gate.
– Entrance fees and rescue fees for Mount Kilimanjaro Climbing.
– Certificate of Achievement for successful completion of Marangu Route Climbing.
– Mountain crews 2 Guides, 3 Porters, and 1 Chef. {Mandatory}
– Accommodation on the specified huts.
– 3 meals a day prepared daily by the chef.

RATE EXCLUDES:

– Personal Climbing gear which will be inspected by a guide before the climbing starts.
Personal travel insurance which can be obtained from the home country.
– Tipping is Mandatory and all climbers must prepare for tipping, guides each $15- $20, porters each USD 10, and chef USD 15 per day.

– Items of a Personal Nature such as bath towels, toothbrush among others.
