For the Tanzania safaris due to their road network, all safaris are done on a 4×4 maintained safari vehicles

Tourists booking private safaris have the option of choosing the safari vehicle they prefer, They can opt for a 4X4 Toyota land cruiser for the Kenya safari and a guaranteed 4X4 safari vehicle for the Tanzania safari.

GROUP JOINING SAFARIS:

Kenya groups joining safaris that exceed 4 days the majority are covered with a customized safari van since it is easy to build the groups. The short safaris that cover Masai Mara Game Reserve and Lake Nakuru National Park can be covered with a 4X4 safari vehicles.

VISA:

For years Kenya’s visa was applicable online till 12th December 2023 when President William Ruto announced from 01st January 2024 Kenya will be a visa-free country. We are waiting for this change to commence.

Tanzania visa can be done online and also it’s available at the point of entry.

YELLOW FEVER VACCINATION:

The Easy Budget Safaris Ltd team wishes to advise our clientele to get a yellow fever vaccination which is now a one-time vaccination. To enter Kenya the vaccine is not Mandatory but it will be required in other countries Like Tanzania or any other country you will be transiting on the way back home. The vaccine is also available at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport health care.

Depending on arrival time, Easy Budget Safaris Ltd recommends a one-night rest to relax and get ready for a great safari experience. Tourists arriving in the afternoon or evening have no issues as their trip will always start the following morning.

Kindly while booking your Holiday consider this and you will start the trip, Safari or tour very fresh and relaxed. Remember some roads are bumpy and taking the trip direct from flight may weaken your body affecting a great plan safari.

Tourists to enjoy their stay in any foreign country require the local currency to enable them to buy anything they are interested in. Local vendors normally do not have loose dollars, Pounds, Euros, or other currencies to return to any tourists purchasing from them.

Kindly you can use your credit card to pay or get cash from the ATMS, alternatively, if you need to exchange money, Easy Budget Safaris Ltd advises you not to exchange the money on the streets… Make use of the forex bureaus that are available in our cities and request your booking agent to assist you in doing the exchange.

The streets are dirty and you will get very low rates of exchange, maybe fake currency that will put you in trouble or even lose your cash to someone you can’t locate. Forex bureau issues you with a receipt and that guarantees you of your safety…

Plastic money is the way of life nowadays and they are acceptable across the globe. Using them to withdraw cash from ATMS as a surcharge ranging from 2.5% to 3.5%, Using them on hotels and tour firms may have the same surcharge or the marchant may have included the surcharge already on the amount payable. Online payments via Pesapal, Direct pay, and others also as a surcharge ranging between 3.5% and 4.5%.

GENERAL:

Like any other city around the globe, we have good and bad people the only issue is how to determine who is good and who is not. Opportunistic people are everywhere and each one needs to take precautions and he will have a great life. As far as Kenyan cities are concerned while walking around avoid people who are befriending you on the streets, and avoid walking around exposing your phone or cameras. If you are on the road or at the gate and you prefer to use your mobile phone make sure you’re not standing close to the main road where motorbikes are passing by… Nowadays opportunistic people are using motorbikes to snatch phones, handbags, cameras, and other valuables.

STREETS:

Avoid dark streets by getting back to your accommodation property on time. If late using an Uber, bolt, or taxi, walking at late night is risking and exposing yourself.

RESTAURANTS AND ENJOYMENT JOINTS:

While in Restaurants, Pubs or clubs kindly keep your bag or handbag where you can see it, hanging it at the back of your chair is taking a risk. Prefer tables that are not overcrowded and with enough light supply, Remember the reason why you are there and remain focused.

HOTEL BOOKING.

Kindly before reserving your accommodation keep in touch with your local agent to confirm the safety of that area. Some hotels have great accommodation deals, and good photos online making you opt for them. Your tour agent or Booking agent operates under the law and for his or her safety will always share the correct information so long as he or she is authorized to operate with correct licenses.

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your entry point your cellphone may not work and to keep in touch with families and friends we highly recommend purchasing a local sim card for data. The sim card cost is less than USD 1 and one week data bundles for USD 5. Use of WIFI at the accommodation properties may disappoint but with this option, you will have fluent communication.

Communication with your contact person or office can be facilitated by the driver guide, he will be spending more time with you and we expect him to be of assistance all the time.

Traveling involves a packaging list, depending on the trip or safari booked it will determine the type of suitcase or backpacker to take with you. We Easy Budget Safaris Ltd encourage all our clients to travel light.

PRIVATE SAFARIS:

With private safaris either luxury safari, Mid-range safari, or budget safari, the number of pax sharing the safari vehicle is known and tourists can determine the number of suitcases to take with them. This option has no restrictions as the safari vehicles have enough space to take a maximum of 8 backpackers.

GROUP JOINING SAFARIS:

These safari packages have restrictions on the luggage as the group size is estimated to be either 7 or 8 tourists. All the tourists will have luggage and we highly recommend tourists take backpackers or small suitcases so that they will all fit in the safari vehicle cabin. The same case applies to Tanzania budget safaris as the safari vehicle takes the camping equipment, food plus the tourist’s luggage.

MOUNTAINEERING:

Tourists taking Mount Kilimanjaro climbing or Mount Kenya Hiking adventures will require the climbing gear and at least  20kgs backpacker to be carried by porters.
